Research with Adults

Our brains and behaviour continue to develop throughout life. As such, research into brains and cognition must include changes and developments experienced in later life. We investigate a wide variety of topics, ranging from language and face processing to working memory and attention. Specific examples include:

  • Which auditory processes contribute to individual differences in language development and learning?
  • What is the relationship between rhythmic skills and reading ability?
  • How does musical experience influence auditory and language processing?

If you would like to volunteer as an adult in our research (you don't have to be part of Birkbeck!), please sign up here: https://psyc-bbk.sona-systems.com/student_new_user.aspx

You can also sign up directly to research with the Alpha Lab

If you are not a Birkbeck student and would like to volunteer in our research with adults, please look at our current research projects here: http://cbcd.bbk.ac.uk/research-projects
