Animating minds!
Researchers from Birkbeck University of London, University of the Arts London and Queen Mary University of London are looking for UK families with children aged 3, 5 or 6 years to take part in Animating Minds, an exciting online study exploring how animated programmes influence children’s attention.
Over 18 days, children will watch children’s cartoons and complete fun, short activities lasting around 15 minutes a day on their home devices. Parents will be asked to complete a few online questionnaires about their child’s development, sleep, behaviour and media use.
The findings will help researchers better understand how children’s media affects development and support the creation of content that nurtures young minds.
Families who complete the study can will receive a £50 Love2Shop voucher, and children will receive a certificate of participation.
To take part, families must live in the UK, be English-speaking, and have access to a laptop or tablet with a web camera.

How do teachers encourage empathy?
In this short 15-minute survey, you will answer questions about daily classroom practices you use to encourage children’s empathy. We are looking for teachers in the UK who work with children aged 3 and over (nursery/preschool to Year 2).

We are looking for children aged 4 to 9 who can play an interactive game with the computer keyboard. The experiment can be run on a laptop and requires a web-camera.
