How to Find the BabyLab & ToddlerLab

The Centre sits just off Torrington Square, around the corner from the Clore Management Building. Look for signs reading 'The Wolfson Institute for Brain Function and Development' and 'The Henry Wellcome Building' on either side of the entrance doors. You can easily also find both labs in Google Maps (Babylab; Toddlerlab) . Our Facilities
Henry Wellcome Building
Our purpose-built main facility houses the renowned BabyLab, featuring state-of-the-art equipment for developmental research. Located just off Torrington Square, the building is home to our primary research spaces and staff offices.
ToddlerLab & Additional Spaces
The ToddlerLab at 33 Torrington Square provides specialised facilities for older children. Additional staff and student spaces are located at 32 Torrington Square, creating an integrated research campus.
Travelling by Public Transport
Nearby Tube Stations
Russell Square, Goodge Street, Euston, Euston Square, Warren Street, King's Cross and St Pancras are all within comfortable walking distance of our facilities.
Easy Walking Access
Our central Bloomsbury location makes us highly accessible on foot from multiple transport hubs across central London.
Driving and Parking Options

Short Visits: Street Parking
Ample pay-and-display street parking available for visits under two hours. Pay via phone or RingGo app using location references on signs. Please read signage carefully as bays alternate between residents-only and pay-for.

Longer Visits: Pre-arranged Parking
We can arrange access-controlled parking behind Birkbeck Central (entrance on Byng Place) or in Woburn Square via University of London (corner of Gordon Square and Woburn Square, Warburg Institute side).
Arriving by Taxi
To the BabyLab
Ask your driver to drop you adjacent to 28 Woburn Square WC1H 0AA. If the gate is locked, request the start of Woburn Square instead. Walk to the top of the square, turn right, and proceed up the paved slope. The Henry Wellcome Building will be on your right.
To the ToddlerLab
Request the corner of Byng Place and Torrington Square. The ToddlerLab is located a few doors down on the left-hand side. The entrance is clearly marked and easy to spot.
Important Parking Information

Payment Methods
When using street parking, pay by calling the number on parking signs or via the RingGo app/website. Do not use QR codes to pay. The RingGo platform allows you to search for available spaces in real-time.

One-Way Systems
Please be aware of one-way road systems in the Bloomsbury area when driving. Plan your route carefully, especially when accessing pre-arranged parking areas with locked gates.
