The aim of the Genes Environment Lifespan lab is to identify the genetic and environmental causes that play a part in making people different, and how these causal processes work.

The focus of our research is the relationship between perceptual and attentional processes and spoken language comprehension throughout the lifespan.

Develomental Neurocognition Lab

We are interested in how cognitive abilities increase as we grow older, in how individuals can vary in their levels of intelligence, and in how cognitive abilities can be altered in developmental disorders.

The Cognition in Naturalistic Environments (CINE) Lab focuses on the investigation of active audiovisual scene cognition in real-world and mediated environments such as VR, smartphones and film, and how these skills develop across early childhood.

Brain and Behaviour Lab

We study perception, attention, and sensorimotor processes. We investigate cognitive and brain mechanisms and the disruption of these processes caused by brain damage or atypical development.
