Research Interests

My current research examines both typical and atypical cognitive development, with a particular interest in neurocognitive abilities such as visuospatial skills and multisensory integration. Broadly, my interests are in exploring the development of cognitive abilities across typical development and how this differs in atypical development, particularly in developmental disorders such as Williams syndrome and Down syndrome.

My postdoctoral research has predominantly investigated whether information from different sensory modalities supports or inhibits learning in pre- and primary school-aged children. My PhD research focused on the development of visuospatial cognition in typical and atypical populations, and particularly the use of different spatial frames of reference for large-scale navigation in individuals with William's syndrome.

Although my more recent research has focused on typically developing children and individuals with developmental disorders, my earlier research also examined developmental and neuropsychological difficulties in individuals with ASD, benign epilepsy, and adults with eating disorders.
