Research interests
I am interested in the perception of moving images by young children and adults. My project aims to assess systematically the role of editing techniques, cognitive development and viewing experience on the comprehension of moving images and to suggest an infant "age-appropriateness" rating scheme for audio-visual material. I am utilising eye movement and heart rate measures. I am also involved in Tablet Project, which is investigating how the use of touchscreen devices affects young children.
