Research Interests

I am primarily interested in how the early stages of infant motor behaviour support and impact developing social and communication skills. My PhD aims to longitudinally investigate the unfolding developmental relationship between infant’s motor skills (from birth - 8 months) and their social-communication skills (from 1 – 24 months). The objective is to explore how motor processes support cognitive development and reveal behavioural markers of both typical development and divergence from typicality.
