Research Interests

My research interests are centred around socio-emotional interactions and how their healthy development can be supported in children. I am currently designing a project with my supervisors to investigate how young children co-regulate their emotions when collaborating over a task, and whether they can do this effectively. I hope to investigate emotions mainly through behavioral measures such as FACS (Facial Action Coding System) and through physiological measures such as electoral dermal activity or RSA (respiratory sinus arrythmia), measuring sympathetic or parasympathetic nervous system activity respectively.
