Research Interests

During my PhD I will investigated attentional processes involved in reading skills of normally developing children and of children with dyslexia.

Particularly, I am interested in the attentional deficits which may play a role in the phenomenology of the reading disability, using EEG to identify signatures of selective attention. Furthermore, my project aims also at identifying predictors of reading gain after a remediation for dyslexia, carried out by RID, institutes for dyslexia.

I will spend two years between the Language Lab of Maastricht University, RID institute in the Netherlands, and one year at Birkbeck University in London.

My PhD project is one of five within the INTERLEARN European Industrial Doctorate programme – Individualised Interventions in Learning: Bridging Advanced Learning Science and 21st Century Technology. It is funded by a 3-year Marie Sklodowska-Curie Industrial Training Network grant (European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, grant agreement No 721895).
